A Day in My Life: Summer Edition

This post was written on August 4th, 2011

As most of you know by now, I have my summers off from my full time job. Running a daycare in my home for teacher’s children allows me to have the school breaks to spend with my family. This week’s inspiration at Gussy Sews asked us to share a day in our life. This is a day in my life BEFORE work starts back up again next week.

My day looks nothing like this from August – May. I’m enjoying it & NOT taking it for granted!

1: Enjoying my Peet’s coffee over ice (and a shot of dark chocolate syrup)
2: Bible & Devotion… trying to remember this EVERY day
3. Computer time… lately it’s been a lot of Pinterest surfing
4. Sugar Daddy, Teen & Tween wrestle, I stay out of the way (it’s a guy thing)
5. Being comfy in my favorite cotton summer dress
6. Watching Girl play in her room
7. Projects, projects, projects
8. Working in my garden… peppers are finally coming in!
9. Movie nights a LOT in the summer with popcorn from our favorite local popcorn store

The popcorn is amazing! I get the cheech & chong (jalapeno flavored) and mix it with the salt & vinegar. When I’m craving sweet I get the pb & cashew mix– delicious.

@SugarMama, jalepeno flavor sounds good! you and my husband can keep your weird salt and vinegar tastes though ;-)

Yes it is! I just hope to keep this routine when I start back to work. Might just have to wake up a few minutes earlier… but totally worth it!
