I Believe in Her

“Mom, Do you think I can make it across the log without falling in the creek?”
“Daughter, of course you can!”
“But what if I fall?”
“Then you’ll get dirty. You’ll brush yourself off and get back up again. That’s all.”
“You’re right Mom, that’s what I always do when I fall…. I just get back up again. Who wants to stay on the ground?”
I believe in Girl. She is confident and strong. She gets back up when she’s fallen down without hesitation. What do you do when you’ve been knocked down? Do you stay there or do you brush yourself off and try again? Like Girl said– “Who wants to stay on the ground?”

How awesome that she said that. Such a great attitude to have. I hope my kids will grow up with the same outlook.

She really does! I wish I would have been like her as a little girl… she just doesn’t let the small stuff get to her.
