Nacho Love: Week 6
This post was written on March 10th, 2011Okay, so let me explain this picture…. I’m not a food photographer. What?! I know, crazy right? Well, not only am I not a food photographer, but I’m definitely not an ice cream melting food photographer. I totally underestimated how difficult getting a picture of these dessert nachos would be! Between the horrible lighting, funky banana coloring, melting ice cream, and a dog under my feet…. it just turned into a terrible mess.
BUT the nachos were yummy. They are considered nachos.
No need for directions. It’s simple: cinnamon mini waffles, vanilla ice cream, fudge sauce, strawberry ice cream sauce, sliced bananas, and chopped pecans. Toast the waffles, quickly top with ice cream, ice cream toppings… then eat. The cinnamon waffles were PERFECT with the vanilla ice cream. I would have preferred the waffles with just ice cream & sauteed bananas but my kids weren’t having that.
And this, my friends, concludes the Nacho Series.
Eat Nachos. They make life better. (I don’t know if they really make life better, but tonight these dessert nachos made my day better…. so it must be true).

There is nothing better than waffles and ice cream! Those look amazing and I will definitely have to try it on one of my diet cheat days! Wait, do the bananas make it healthy?!?

They are VERY good with cinnamon tortilla chips, we’ve had it that way as well! Our local grocery store sells homemade cinnamon chips in the bakery… now I’m thinking I have a good reason to go buy some.
