Valentine “Photo Shoot”
This post was written on February 10th, 2011During the day I have 7 little people that depend on me. It can be very chaotic and loud, but it can also be a lot of fun. I enjoy coming up with special surprises for their parents and always take advantage of holidays to create special photo memories.
This year I wanted to use the Valentine doodles that I Heart Faces offered for a short time to download. I could envision how adorable they’d be used on photos of the daycare kids… so I snatched them up and downloaded for future use.
I already had Valentine wrapping paper that I purchased for a craft that Girl and I made for her class, so I used that as a backdrop for the photos. I checked the glare from the sun to make sure that there wouldn’t be any glareĀ reflecting off of the paper. Then I used one of the craft table chairs for them to sit on.
It was perfect! Even the babies sat in the chair and smiled at the camera for me. I printed off the photos on my HP Photosmart printer and attached them to red foam with craft glue. I added a magnet strip to the back of each one so they can be hung from the refrigerators at home. On Monday the kids will make Valentine day cards for their parents to go along with the photo.

They always know to expect some sort of picture from the kids… so every holiday I have to find something new & creative. It was fun.

Simple is the key word here. With 7 daycare kids I can’t really do anything too elaborate. Thanks for visiting!
