For everyone covered in snow, I hope it’s been more of a good time than a burden. I hope you’ve stayed safe when traveling and running errands. I hope you’ve had the chance to play in it. Because even with my big transformer style boot (from the broken foot) I played in the snow a bit. Where the majority of people dislike snow, I LOVE it. My kids love it. We really never tire of it. That is, until it starts to melt and becomes brown and slushy.

I Heart Faces is having a photo contest entitled “Winter Wonderland”. This shot is not crisp. The composition is off. Everything about it to the eye of a pro is probably wrong. But I love everything about it. I love that Teen & Tween are racing. I love the huge smile on Teen’s face as he glides down the hill. I love that Tween is trying so hard to beat him he ends up coming right off the front of that sled. And I love that I captured it, instead of obsessing about the white balance, shutter speed, or ISO.
