Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Sugar Mama & Teen clearing the driveway the "old fashioned" way.

We had already been hit by several inches of snow this time last year. The single digit temps, snow, ice, and dreary days started in October making for a very long winter. Schools had to use 2 snow days by now; and in a school district that rarely closes for snow, that was a lot to use before Christmas break.

Everyone was already sick of the snow and the cold.

That’s all I heard about everywhere I went.

So I kept it to myself how much I LOVED it! I loved being snowed in. I loved the whiteness everywhere. I loved having my kids home from school.

It’s been a mild winter thus far. Tomorrow the high is 50 degrees…

BUT…

We are supposed to get snow tomorrow night!!!

And the high on Saturday is in the teens.

I’m thrilled!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that basketball games will be canceled and we can all stay home and play board games. Have a Wii tournament. And a rock band sing off.

That is the perfect day to me; cold outside, toasty inside, soup on the stove, cookies in the oven, board games, movies, popcorn, time to write & read…. all 5 of us together.

What is the perfect day for you?

Do you love or dread the snow?

    I love the snow…for about a day :)

My perfect day is when we’re all home and off work in the summer, we stay out by the pool, bringing out lunch, snacks and even dinner poolside. Can not WAIT for summer again.

Okay, I will admit that sounds like a pretty amazing day. I don’t work during the summer either and I love when we can grill out and stay up late. It wouldn’t make sense for us to have a pool in Nebraska, but if we ever move to some place warmer I’ll be sure to get a pool!

I love snow!! We only get it about once a year here in NC, if we get it at all. I miss it so much!

We’re supposed to get hit with 2 storm fronts starting tomorrow I think. I do love snow days especially when we’re all locked in the house. There’s nothing like a relaxing day of lounging.
PS. Rock Band is the shizz. I am queen of that game. QUEEN!

What is your favorite role? I prefer singing, but I think I’d like the new keyboard! Looks like fun!

I adore snow…it’s so gorgeous and magical. But I don’t love it when it starts to seep into your shoes and gets under your coat and makes it take ten minutes to get all your snow gear on… ;)

Oh, I don’t like being IN the snow ;o) I just like watching from inside my warm house.

OK so we LOVE it BUT I think it’s because we have to drive 4 hours to see it. If I had to shovel, might be a different story ;)
