I Heart Faces: Self Portrait
This post was written on December 5th, 2010Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve participated in an I Heart Faces contest. When I saw the self-portrait challenge coming up I knew what I wanted to do. Last year I took a picture of one of my daycare kids looking into a glass Christmas ornament and thought it was a fun shot. That was my inspiration for this shot as well.
The blue lights are coming off of our Dallas Cowboys (don’t judge) tree in our basement where there is no natural sunlight; between that and blue Christmas tree lights it made for a good photography lesson.

I really like the contrast between the cool blue and warm yellow and the hints of twinkling that you captured. Nicely done!
