Grocery List = Money Saved

This post was written on November 13th, 2010

(Don’t judge me by the items on this list. I understand that Hot Pockets are not the most nutritious thing I could be feeding my family, but when you have children involved in 3 different things on the SAME night…. it kind of resorts to the frozen crap. To make me feel better as a mother, I make my children eat an apple with the crap. Kind of balances it all out… right?)

AMEN! perfect! :) people make fun of me and my grocery lists-they don’t understand that the bit of extra time I spend means less money I spend! you mapped it all out so clearly:) also, I love your blog!

I went grocery shopping with a friend that did NOT organize her list and it broke me out in a cold sweat. She was all over the grocery store, forgetting items, getting too many extra items, etc. I couldn’t handle it. And I get made fun of for my lists too. ;o)

Glad you like the blog! Thanks!

Oh, I love lists too! I wish I could make a living just making lists for people. That would be fabulous!

My husband makes fun of me for spending about 30minutes or so planning out the weeks meals on Sunday. I find that when we stick to the meal plan, we only buy what we need and it surely cuts down on the time we spend just thinking of what we’re going to eat.
There’s a method behind the madness!

And it allows money for more important things… like new makeup! ;o)

I love this!! I do a list and price matching/coupons. And I would go insane without a list I do it every once in awhile and then I come home and say what the heck did I get lol!! It is usually so random and nothing that I need for meals. I am happy to see I am not the only one :D

No, you are not the only one… I spend WAY too much money without a list. And it’s actually something I enjoy doing (does that make me weird?) ;)

Not at all!! I have 3 children and a 4th on the way and I feel like I need to super glue a pad to my shirt so that I can write list of everything. Ideas, things to buy, recipes and everything else!!
