SM Fave’s: Jan 8, 2010

This edition of Sugar Mama’s Faves is “What You Need to Stay Warm”.  Staying warm has been on my mind a lot. As I sit at my laptop I have on sweatpants, a hoodie, and afghan wrapped around me, Uggs, thick wool socks, and I had on gloves but took them off so I could type. So, as a cold natured person I thought maybe someone out there would appreciate these faves. Stay warm my friends!

I asked for these LL Bean slippers for Christmas, but Sugar Daddy didn’t want to order “shoes” online, so I still have yet to try a pair. They look wonderful though and I’m sure my tootsies would appreciate them!

Harney and Sons tea has become my favorite black tea to sip during the day or evening. When my brother was visiting we went through several tins of this stuff. You can either purchase loose leaf tea, or my favorite which are the sachets.

North Face makes some incredible products for cold weather. And although their apparel is not on the less expensive side, if you can purchase one item a year it would last and last. Sugar Daddy bought me these gloves (along with another heavy duty style for shoveling snow) and I wear them all of the time! I wear a size small and they will stretch out just a tad. The snugger the fit the better.  I don’t recommend getting them in white though. Mine are pink.

Next on the list is another item for the feet. I could list hundreds of items to keep the feet warm because that is my biggest battle. My feet are never warm. Poor circulation haunts me. But there are some items that have helped, these Uggs are included. My mother got them for me as a birthday gift and I’ve worn them often since. The website no longer carries the color I have, but the brown and grey ones look nice.

But I Don't Like This Color

And what looks better with Uggs than a loungy pair of pants. I know, many of you are sick of that style. But here, where it is freezing cold, it makes sense. Somewhere in southern CA where it is always warm, maybe it doesn’t make sense. But, to each his own…. and I like the style. I don’t own these pants, but I want to own them. Very Badly.

And lastly, another thing to drink that keeps me warm. My brother has spoiled us rotten with this coffee. Sugar Daddy and I will never be the same again. No other coffee can compete. And I highly recommend it to coffee drinkers. But not if you are going to add half a cup of creamer to it. We can’t find Peet’s coffee here, so I guess my brother will have to visit again and bring some!
